Recovering cold energy during regasification

During LNG and cryogenic gas regasification, a significant amount of cold energy becomes available. In many installations, this energy is not reused and is simply lost.

By considering cold energy recovery during the engineering phase, part of this energy can be integrated into other processes and used more efficiently.

Important considerations include:

  • Matching available cold energy to actual process demand
  • Identifying suitable integration opportunities
  • Evaluating technical and economic feasibility
  • Including recovery possibilities early in the system design

Cryonorm looks at the complete regasification process to identify practical opportunities for energy recovery and improved overall system efficiency.
